Minnesota Wild's Kirill Kaprizov Projected for 100 Points in 2026-27

Kirill Kaprizov is projected to return to the 100-point club for the Minnesota Wild in the 2026-27 NHL season. My fantasy hockey projection has the Wild superstar scoring 47 goals and 53 assists for 100 points in 79 games. That would be an 11-point jump from his 2025-26 total. The Wild currently sit 3rd in the Western Conference with a 46-24 record and a W1 streak. Their next game is against the Chicago Blackhawks on September 20, 2026.

Why is Kaprizov projected for 100 points?

Kaprizov’s 89-point season last year was actually a strong floor, not his ceiling. He averaged 1.14 points per game, which over a full 82-game schedule would be a 94-point pace. That came without Quinn Hughes for the first two months. Hughes joined the Wild in December and still put up 53 points in 48 games after the trade. A full training camp and regular season with Hughes should mean more controlled zone entries and cleaner puck movement. That means more chances for Kaprizov to fire from his favorite spots.

What does the projection model say?

My weighted model puts 50% weight on Kaprizov’s 2025-26 scoring rate, 30% on his recent healthy-season production, and 20% on his established career ceiling. I added a modest bump for a full season with Hughes and a small deduction for normal shooting-percentage regression and injury risk. The result is about 1.27 points per game. Over 79 games, that’s almost exactly 100 points. The biggest change should come in assists. Kaprizov’s 45 goals last season were close to his career-best 47, but his 44 assists were way below the 61 he had in his 108-point season.

How does Hughes change the power play?

Hughes is a game-changer on the top power-play unit. He moves defenders, creates passing lanes, and finds Kaprizov before defensive coverage sets. With Matt Boldy, Ryan Hartman, and Joel Eriksson Ek also on the ice, opponents can’t just overload Kaprizov’s side. That should generate more secondary scoring chances. Kaprizov already scored 19 power-play goals last season. With Hughes distributing the puck, that number could climb.

What is Kaprizov’s fantasy hockey draft value?

Kaprizov has already proven he has a 100-point ceiling. He set the Wild record with 108 points in 2021-22 and followed that with 96 points in 75 games in 2023-24. This projection doesn’t require an unprecedented breakout. It just asks him to approach levels he’s already hit. Fantasy managers should view him as a top-five pick. His floor is elite, and his ceiling is the best in the game.
